During my summer vacations I had a lot of fun. Even though I did not go out of the country it was fun. I spent a lot of time with my family and we made many trips to touristical places in Nicaragua. To all of this places we went with my cousins. They came to visit us from Miami after four years of not comming to Nicaragua. We went to visit only in the pacific area of Nicaragua. We went to visit El Rio San Juan, one of Nicaragua's most famous and remarakable places, as well as the ''Isla de Ometepe''. This beautiful island that lies in the famous lake of granada. Known as the lake that has sharks. Another island we went to visit in this wonderful lake was Solentiname. It is like a big forest with a bunch of animals like monkeys, strange but beautiful birds, frogs, dogs, etc. They took a lot of time but were worth it.

In Rio San Juan we visited "El Castillo." and San Carlos. El Castillo is something similar to a small town. This is a historical place in Nicaragua. It is called like this because in the top of a hill lies a casttle in which Rafaela Herrera fighted the pirates that wanted to attack. They came from the caribeann sea and into the river. It is a very cute but poor town. There was not much to do bit stay in the hotel or go into a small boat on which you went and visit small forestal islands that contained many small venenous animals. They contained this small colorful frogs that only by touching it, you could go to the hospital. They were very dangerous. Also, you could see the crocodiles swiming along the boat it was a little scary.

After, a day we arrived home from the river we decided to go visit the island. It was something new since we had never been there. We always heard rumors about how pretty it was. When we arrived to the ferry that was going to take us we were making fun of it. Me and my cousins were mad at our parents because they obligated us to go. Later, we thanked them for making us go because it was a fun experience getting to know this places. In the island we visited el ojo de agua, which is wated that comes from the ground. It is crystal clear and it is sweet water. It is like going into the pool but even better. That is the funnest place we visited in the whole trip. Then we went into the lake, it was better than going into the beach. Finally, we visited the volcano and then we left. Although we didn't go out of the country we had a lot of fun visiting this places.
